Hello,
I have installed a pluggin called “Protect WP-Admin” that has inserted an ugly text reading “Protection Plugin created by” plus two “403 forbidden” errors (my site: imagymna.com)
I have emailed the creator of the pluggin for help without success yet.
Even after totally removing the pluggin from my installation the unwanted texts persist, so
I guess the pluggin has inserted that texts in some files I can not find.I wonder if you, please, be so kind to tell me which file to edit in order to get rid of those ugly messages for once and forever.
Thanks a lot in advance.

That error is due to NGINX server cache which is done from your hosting/server side. May be the plugin conflicts with it. Either switch to some other plugin or else ask your hosting about it.

I fully understand your position regarding an alien pluggin. The fact is that using Firefox’s code inspector I can see where the ugly message is inserted. Sadly, I lack the expertise to identify the theme source file involved.
Anyway, if I’m not wrong, I’m sure I could fix the problem a) by editing the source file or b) overwriting it with a previous version.
So, is there any way to REINSTALL my theme WITHOUT LOSING it’s configuration and content?
Thanks again for your time.

Well you can surely do a database backup and restore from it whenever you want. Actually best way would be to check for malware, hack issues, hack attempts made etc and then after an audit ensuring to install a security plugin which prevents further problems.
Best way to do a backup of existing site is using Duplicator Plugin or Updraft Plus plugin.

Thanks for your tips, but you forgot to answer my cuestion:

November 21, 2016 at 11:39 am #53395Hi Andres,
Kindly go to Appearance>>Themes Activate any other theme and delete the SKT White Theme then reinstall the theme.
Do not click on restore default button it will remove all the contents.

Sadly, my plan didn’t work. Thanks anyway.
Another question please:
How can I delete the “Hello world!” blog post from the page footing?
Thanks again.
