    How do I make these blocks the same size and change the colour from grey to blue?

    You can change box colour from Theme Options there is a option for a featured box background-color.

    .skt-featured-box-row .skt-featured-box-inner{min-height:170px;}

    Add CSS
    .skt-featured-box-row .skt-featured-box-inner:hover{background-color:#ff0000 !important;}
