The gallery on the homepage is grayed out once you click on a thumbnail and the picture is enlarged. If I change it to a different type of gallery it works fine, but this particular type of gallery I want to use on the homepage does not work properly. This is the link to the site so you can see what I mean: http://niuikioceanfront.com/

Kindly go to Appearance>>Theme Option>>Basic Setting>>Custom CSS Box
Add this code there:
#lightbox{z-index:99999;}

I added this code as you said and for a while it worked. I recently updated the photos and now it is back to being greyed out again. I went back and added the code again, although it was still there and it is still not working. Please help.
