Girlie Theme – PHP error

Hi, I’ve been adviced that the Girlie theme used on: https://mrdapperbarbers.co.uk/ is causing a ‘critical error’ when the PHP is upgraded from 7.4 to 8.3

I can confirm that the critical error is due to the SKT Girlie Pro theme not being compatible with PHP version 8.3.13

I would advise updating or upgrading the theme from the them provider in WordPress, once you have upgraded the theme, you can go ahead and update the PHP version to 8.3.13.

At the moment I have reverted the PHP version back to 7.4 and the website is loading the moment.

Kindly update your PHP Version From PHP 7 to PHP 8 and check website. if still you got any error let us know.

Hi,

Just we resolved the bug that was showing an issue in PHP 8. So to resolve the issue in https://logs-for-sale-kent.co.uk, we need to debug the error and resolve this issue.

Because each theme’s functionality and its function are different, without debugging it is not possible to resolve the PHP 8 issue.

If you are facing a PHP 8 issue in some themes, kindly remove the following below code from theme inc/custom-function.php on line number 26.

// custom javascript for head
add_action(‘wp_head’,’hook_custom_javascript’);

Delete the above code from the file.

This is slightly different as there’s also a WordPress error warning…
