How to decrease spacing between sections

How can I eliminate the amount of white space between each section group on the homepage of SKT CutNStyle Pro? Also, how do you make sections without the fade element?

Paste this css in custom css box in Appearance -> Theme Options -> Basic Settings Tab
section{ padding:40px 0;}

I apologize, but I do not see an area that is titled: ‘Tab’ under the Basic Settings area. Nothing but fonts, colors and only a few other options.

Kindly go to Appearance>>Theme Option>>Basic Setting>>Custom CSS Box

Add this code there:

section{ padding:40px 0;}
