    Dear Friends at SKT THEMES,

    I am trying to set up a new site https://babyborji.cl with the WooCommerce plugin, but I can’t get the shipping zones to work. So far, I have been able to correctly configure three shipping zones.

    First, I have correctly defined and reviewed the store’s location. According to the administrative organization of the Republic of Chile, we are divided into Regions -> Provinces -> Communes (Cities).

    In each commune, there is an initial postal code used to sectorize the different postal zones in the population.

    In the region where the store is located, there are several provinces, some of which are overseas. For this reason, I have only considered the postal codes for the LOCAL area using this method of aggregating postal codes:

    Initial Postal Codes for the communes of the Valparaíso region that I consider LOCAL:
    2240000
    2330000
    2430000
    6500000
    2050000
    2030000
    2070000
    2040000
    2060000
    2310000
    2290000
    2280000
    2300000
    2260000
    2480000
    2510000
    2600000
    2500000
    2490000
    2340000
    2520000

    Then I use asterisks to add wildcards:
    224*
    233*
    243*
    650*
    205*
    203*
    207*
    204*
    206*
    231*
    229*
    228*
    230*
    226*
    248*
    251*
    260*
    250*
    249*
    234*
    252*

    Finally, the ranges of postal codes:
    2240000,,,2249999
    2330000,,,2339999
    2430000,,,2439999
    6500000,,,6599999
    2050000,,,2059999
    2030000,,,2039999
    2070000,,,2079999
    2040000,,,2049999
    2060000,,,2069999
    2310000,,,2319999
    2290000,,,2299999
    2280000,,,2289999
    2300000,,,2399999
    2260000,,,2269999
    2480000,,,2489999
    2510000,,,2519999
    2600000,,,2699999
    2500000,,,2599999
    2490000,,,2499999
    2340000,,,2349999
    2520000,,,2529999
    But none of this works because the customer never finds the option to enter their postal code when purchasing.

    I appreciate your help in resolving this. I have tried to install plugins to associate the postal code in the checkout form, but it has been impossible.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Which plugin are you using for shipping zones? Please see the plugin documentation for setup of this plugin. This is a plugin-related issue. Kindly ask about this issue to the plugin provider.

    Regards,
    Brad

    I manually entered the postal codes in Woocommerce when creating the shipping zones.

    But the problem is that the postal code does not appear in the Woocommerce woocommerce/checkout form.

    How can I make it appear?

    I have to make about 50 sites similar to this one and I don’t want to bother you every time. I would appreciate it if you could tell me where you made the changes and how to modify them so that the postal code is mandatory as well as the phone number.

    Thank you very much

    Before you intervened and I tried to edit this Shipping page I couldn’t see the Blocks, or do anything there, now I don’t see the Post Code option to make it mandatory as I did with the Phone. In addition, I must show the “Enterprise” field with the “Company Name” label next to a new field called “RUT” both mandatory, this must be in both the billing and the shipping addresses.

    Thanks

    Additionally, I need to validate the administrative order for Chile. I have the data for each Region, each Province, each Commune and each Locality, but I need to know where I can add the fields that I am missing, order them in the way that I indicate below and define both the validation and the class to update the record when data changes.

    Our team will do this programming, but we need you to tell us where we should register this code.

    The form should list the administrative units in this order, all mandatory:

    1.- Country (Default field and locked with the data “Chile”)
    1.1.- Region (Validate that it corresponds to the list I have)
    1.1.1.- Province (Validate that it corresponds to the list I have)
    1.1.1.1.- Commune or City (Validate that it corresponds to the list I have)
    1.1.1.1.1.- Locality (Validate that it corresponds to the list I have)

    Each administrative unit has a unique ID, the ID of the dependent administrative unit and an Ordering ID. The latter is important to consider for the REGION Unit, because our country is as long as a noodle, we are ordered by regions from North to South, and this is how it should be ordered for the user, never by the Unique ID or alphabetically, but geographically from North to SOUTH.

    We appreciate your support.

    Greetings,

    Image of the list of regions with their respective ID. There are regions that have been recently created as a result of administrative divisions, which is why the unique ID is not correlative and cannot be used to show the order of the regions from North to South.

    Hi,

    Here we added this code in the function.php file so the postal code box is visible.

    function filter_woocommerce_get_country_locale( $country_locale ) {
        // Loop through
        foreach( $country_locale as $key => $locale ) {
            // Isset
            if ( isset ( $locale['postcode']['hidden'] ) ) {
                // When true
                if ( $locale['postcode']['hidden'] == true ) {
                    // Set to false
                    $country_locale[$key]['postcode']['hidden'] = false;
                }
            }
        }

        return $country_locale;
    }
    add_filter( 'woocommerce_get_country_locale', 'filter_woocommerce_get_country_locale', 10, 1 );

    Kindly ask plugin support for a plugin-related issue, how to set dropdown by order ID, and make form fields mandatory.

    Regards,
    Brad
