Hi Guys,
I’m using the theart theme and when setting up the gallery section, I noticed that assigning multiple categories to an image, doesn’t work with the filtering. Only one category can be assigned. otherwise it will only show in All categories only. Seems like a bug. Can this be fixed?

ChrisOctober 10, 2017 at 5:17 pm #85179Hi Chris,
Kindly check the below link. If you check the All section first, you would see 4 images with animals (bears and cats) which are assigned to animal category and their respective animal type category (bears & cats). Also the categories are displayed in the filter section, however without images in either of them. If I assigned only one category to a picture it works OK (check the other categories). Kindly look in to this issue. Appreciate your support.

ChrisOctober 11, 2017 at 7:30 am #85222Hi Christ,
Thanks for your prompt response. Appreciate your support. However, it doesn’t work still. What you’ve done is only assigning one category to an image. I already said that it’s working that way. What I meant was assigning two or more categories to an image and it will show in all those selected categories for example, all the animal images inside the animal category and in their respective categories like bears and cats. This is I think a bug which needs fixing from your side. I don’t think assigning only one category is not the solution for this issue.
Best regards

ChrisOctober 11, 2017 at 8:07 am #85227Hi Chris,
Thanks for the prompt response. Again what you’ve done is not the proper solution. What you’ve did is duplicate the image and assign those two categories individually. Then it must be added for every category and the images will duplicate massively. Even now if you check “All” filtering option, you see two instances of the same image. this is not the proper fix. I think the filtering query needs to be fixed. Please kindly give me a proper fix for this issue.
Furthermore, If you can check your demo on start up theme, check the branding and outdoor category of the “our works section”. You will see a common skying image on the both categories without duplicating it in the “All section”. That’s what I want this fix to be like.

October 15, 2017 at 6:34 am #85549Hi,
Tried several third party modules including what you’ve suggested, but none worked for me. So please let me know how can I make the above gallery look like below link (have a square border and a shadow around the images) as well as fix for the category filtering issue (coding fix). Appreciate your support
