Hello.
I figured out a solution. I put a “more” tag in there with a space after “more” within the tag and it got rid of the additional text. Thanks! Adam
Hello, when I use this code it doesn’t seem to affect. The length of the excerpt doesn’t change.
After reading the forums, I can communicate my question better:
How do I limit the character length of the excerpt please? In the 3 column Boxes under the Slider?
I tried an excerpt plugin, but it ended up triming the content under the Boxes as well.

Thank you very much. The italics is fixed. However, when I added that code to the Custom CSS it aligned to the right and covered a portion of the Slider Image .. [email protected]
I have since “centered” it to experiment and now it’s basically back aligned left. Align left is good.
But right now the text becomes two lines after about 300 pixels … what code may I use please to allow the text to stretch 60% across the Slider box horizontally?
Does it have to do with the width of a text field within the Slider Box?
So that it flows on one line and ends right around my image?

Hello, I only have one slider image chosen.
Should the images still be the original size of 980 x 418 but I change the code and it adapts?
Because the current image is 280 height.
I will add a second slider now, thank you
Actually, my bad, I fixed it by decreasing the height of the logo under Basic Settings to match the 80 pixels of the image. All good, no worries on this question. Thank you
Thanks Dave, you guys are awesome with your help. I entered the code and it pulled up my temp image to the top of the Slide box … but there’s still white space underneath it before the 4 horizontal Sections (read more) in Grey.
is there other code I need to enter for the left side of the slider maybe?
I would like to pull up the grey area to the bottom of the image
