Well I confess to being a little frustrated. I changed to the updated theme. You did a great job fixing the H1 problem on all my posts but now I don’t have an H1 on my homepage. Bing webmaster tools flags it as not having a single H1 on the page.
Once again my url is http://www.thesubmissivespirit.com
Also… I assumed that you would update the alt tag problem I have been asking about in a separate post. Your reply seemed to indicate that it would be addressed, but there is still no change. I had to eliminate my inner banner to make the post pages optimize with no errors. I still have 20 images on my homepage with no alt attributes.
I would really like to fix all of this as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Kim
Wonderful! Will I receive some sort of notification when the update is complete or do I need to look for it on your site?
I appreciate you attending to this!
Regards,
Kim
I have the banner pictures. 4 pictures under the banner and pictures in the sections. If we program it to use the titles, will it include all of the pictures on the Homepage?
Yes. Let’s try it. What do you need me to do?
Kim
Here you go:
First one –
href=”http://www.thesubmissivespirit.com/”><h1>The Submissive Spirit</h1> <span class=”tagline”>Wisdom for Christian
Second one –
repeat”><header class=”entry-header”><h1 class=”entry-title”>Cleaning in a Hurry</h1></header><!– .entry-header –><div
Third one –
<nav role=”navigation” id=”nav-below” class=”post-navigation”><h1 class=”screen-reader-text”>Post navigation</h1><div
That was from Bing’s webmaster tools – seo analyzer
This is just from the post url I gave you above. When Onpage.org crawls my site, they return 53 indexable pages with more than one H1 header. All the blog posts have three and everything else has two.
Also, you did not answer my question about the meta tags on the non-static homepage. Thanks.
Kim
I am using Girlie Pro
My website is http://www.thesubmissivespirit.com
Specifically, the problem is with my posts. Here is the url to one of them:
http://www.thesubmissivespirit.com/2016/07/cleaning-hurry/
There are 3 H1 headings on all my posts. My site title “The Submissive Spirit”, the post title “Cleaning in a Hurry” and the post navigation at the bottom. Also, there is an empty H2 heading underneath the post navigation before the H3 heading that lists the posts names to navigate to. That is also getting flagged. Since these things are part of the theme and not something I added, I was hoping you could tell me where to fix them.
Also, how do I add meta data to the home page? I am not using a static home page. I am showing recent posts, but I would like to optimize as best I can and I can’t figure out how to add the meta tags.
Thanks.
Kim
