    Hey! I was having the same issue. To put it simply,

    Go to
    1. appearance -> theme options
    2. Then scroll all the way to the bottom and hit save. Now you should be able to make customizations. It’s weird but thats how you fix it.

    Never mind, I figured it out. This was operator error.

    Never mind, I figured it out thanks to you instructional videos. This was operator error.
