Today we are going to conduct an interview of Thelma Mutete from Zimbabwe. She is a Happiness Engineer at Automattic.

In this interview, she mentioned that she has studied information technology combined with Business Management, also she talked about how she learned different programming language including HTML, CSS, Java, C, VB, MYSQL, and more.

Before WordPress I was a student at the Catholic University of Zimbabwe. I was studying Information Technology combined with Business Management. During this time I learnt a bunch of programming languages including Java, VB, C, PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL.

In my third year I had to get a mandatory internship that was inline with what I was studying, at that time our country had a very high employment rate so I ended up settling for a web designing internship with a local company. I was mostly using Joomla then.
